Things that should be true...

• Squirrels should lay eggs
• The plural of platypus should be platypode
• Platypode shouldn't be endangered: then we would know what they tasted like
• And the same applies for platypus eggs
• A duck should be a common house hold pet - like the dog
• Different animal species should be able to cross breed and produce wild and wacky combinations. Like the platypus. Oh wait..
• Humans should be able to photosynthesize light and produce glucose as a food source
• Flying cars are way overdue.
• As is the hyperdrive
• And the human teleporter
• And human colonisation of the solar system
• And let's not forget strong AI
• From which point we can all stop working and entrust the menial labour to our robots.
• What could go wrong?
• Or right?

Growing like Weeds

I believe this is the third post about my dandelion growing escapades. Here's the latest on the container of weeds:

Growing like weeds should...

You can't see it on this picture, but the big plant in the middle with visible wrinkles in its four broad, ridged leaves, has a furry stem. It's almost definite that there's grass (on the left). What I thought were dandelions (the three lobed saplings) are being dwarfed by everything else. The leaf that's poking out (and out of focus) and the leaf on the extreme right are my best bets for dandelion-like weeds. It's a shame, I won't get to toast the roots of these dandelions. They'll probably be too entangled with the other weeds.
